OUR SERVICES
Integrative Psychotherapy
Integrative psychotherapy recognises that every person is unique, and that no single therapeutic approach is right for everyone. Rather than working from one particular model, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, experiences and goals.
This approach considers the whole person — your thoughts, emotions, relationships, life experiences, physical responses, strengths and, where meaningful to you, your sense of purpose or spirituality. Instead of viewing a difficulty in isolation, we explore how different aspects of your experience may be connected, helping you develop a deeper and more compassionate understanding of yourself.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that you already hold valuable strengths, wisdom and resources within you. Sometimes these can become difficult to recognise or access, particularly during periods of trauma, grief, stress or significant change.
Therapy provides a supportive space to reconnect with these strengths while developing new insights, perspectives and ways of responding. Within an environment of compassion, acceptance and genuine connection, you can feel safe enough to explore your experiences, be yourself and discover what meaningful change looks like for you.
OUR SERVICES
Somatic Therapy
Trauma and emotional distress can affect not only how we think and feel, but also how we experience ourselves within our bodies. Somatic therapy gently brings awareness to the connection between the mind, body and nervous system, helping you develop a greater sense of safety, regulation and connection with yourself.
While talking and exploring your experiences may form part of therapy, somatic approaches also invite you to notice what is happening within your body — such as physical sensations, tension, breathing patterns and emotional responses. Depending on your individual needs and comfort, sessions may incorporate practices such as breathwork, grounding, mindfulness, meditation, visualisation, tapping and body-awareness exercises.
This work is approached gently and at your own pace. Rather than pushing you to revisit difficult experiences before you feel ready, the focus is on building awareness, developing resources and increasing your capacity to remain present with your experiences.
Somatic therapy may be particularly helpful for people experiencing trauma, anxiety, chronic stress or a sense of disconnection from themselves. It can also support anyone wanting to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between their thoughts, emotions and physical experiences.
By learning to listen to the body's signals with curiosity and compassion, we can begin to develop new ways of responding to stress and create greater space for healing, connection and wellbeing.
OUR SERVICES
Sandplay Therapy and Symbol work
Sandplay Therapy and symbol work offer a gentle, creative way to explore thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to express in words. In a sand tray, clients use miniature figures, objects and symbols to create scenes that reflect their inner world. There is no right or wrong way to do this; the process is about expression, not performance.
The symbols chosen can hold personal meaning, representing emotions, relationships, experiences or inner conflicts. Rather than interpreting these for the client, I work collaboratively, supporting each person to discover their own understanding at their own pace.
This approach can be especially helpful when talking feels difficult, or when experiences such as trauma, grief or change are hard to put into words. It can support greater self-awareness, emotional expression, and connection to inner strengths and resources.
Sandplay Therapy can be used with children, adolescents and adults, and no artistic ability is needed. It offers a safe, contained space where healing, insight and new possibilities can gradually emerge.

Mindfulness & meditation
WMindfulness and meditation offer gentle ways to slow down, reconnect with yourself and develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions and physical experiences.
Practices can be tailored to individual needs and may support stress reduction, relaxation, emotional regulation, improved sleep, greater focus and resilience, healthy boundaries, pain management and a deeper sense of connection with the body.
Through practices such as guided meditation, breath awareness, grounding, visualisation and mindful presence, you can learn to notice your experiences with greater curiosity and compassion rather than becoming overwhelmed by them.
For group programs, practices and themes are thoughtfully selected in response to the needs and experiences of the group, creating opportunities for shared reflection, connection and personal growth.
Whether incorporated into psychotherapy or explored as a practice in its own right, mindfulness and meditation can provide valuable tools for cultivating greater presence, balance and wellbeing in everyday life.

Tina Blackman
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties or a significant life change? Perhaps you are carrying experiences from the past that continue to affect how you feel, relate to others or see yourself. Whatever brings you here, you do not have to navigate it alone.
I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a Bachelor of Integrative Psychotherapy and more than 10 years’ experience supporting people through trauma, grief and loss, emotional distress and major life transitions. I am registered with both PACFA and ACA and work with children, adolescents and adults.
My approach is warm, compassionate and down-to-earth. I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, without therapy feeling overly clinical or overwhelming.
My work is integrative, trauma-informed and strengths-based, meaning I tailor therapy to each person rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on person-centred therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, solution-focused approaches and creative therapies such as Sandplay Therapy. Together, we can explore what is happening beneath the surface, deepen self-understanding and reconnect you with your strengths and resources.
For those who wish, I also offer space to explore spirituality, meaning and the connection between mind, body and emotional wellbeing. My practice is informed by more than 20 years of study in mindfulness, spirituality and complementary healing traditions, always guided by your own beliefs and values.
I believe that even after painful or difficult experiences, it is possible to reconnect with your strengths, gain deeper self-understanding and move towards new meaning and direction. Sometimes meaningful change begins with very small steps.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if this is your first experience of therapy. My hope is that you feel welcomed, respected and able to be yourself from the very beginning. It would be a privilege to support you as you move towards greater clarity, connection, wellbeing and hope.
